Research progress on etiology and anti-infection treatment of diabetic foot infection
Diabetic foot ulcers(DFUs)are a serious complication of diabetes mellitus and are strongly associated with infection, amputation, and death.Diabetic foot ulcer infections(IDFU)are a common cause of diabetes-re-lated hospitalizations, accounting for approximately 25%of diabetic hospitalizations and placing a heavy burden on families and society. The difficulty in identifying pathogenic microorganisms and the presence of drug resistance make the diagnosis and treatment of IDFU challenging. Therefore, early identification and timely and reasonable application of effective antibiotics based on IDFU epidemiology and patient-individualized pathogenetic analysis are key measures to improve the prognosis of patients with IDFU.Based on the existing literature at home and a-broad,this article reviews the relevant research progress on the epidemiology, pathogenesis, and anti-infection therapy of IDFU,aiming to provide clinical references.
