Progress of clinical research on necrotizing fasciitis
OBJECTIVE Necrotizing fasciitis(NF)is a severe and aggressive skin and soft tissue infection character-ized by rapidly progressive necrosis of subcutaneous tissues,especially superficial and deep fascia,the morbidity is low,but the mortality rate is high,ranging between 20％and 30％.Because of the difficult identification of NF in early stage,unclear diagnostic criteria and rapid progression,the early and timely diagnosis and treatment is the key to raise the survival rate and improve the life quality of the NF patients.In recent years,the diagnostic modes and therapeutic drugs have emerged,the research on novel biomarkers,provides new ideas for the diagnosis and typing of NF.The research on pathogenesis mechanisms of the disease and development of new drugs have brought out a variety of treatment programs for NF.The article focuses on review of the causes and risk factors for the NF,summarize the clinical manifestations,typing and identification of NF,and explore the diagnosis and treatment methods for NF so as to provide reference for subsequent studies.
