Predictive value of lncRNA NEAT1,sTREM-1 and HMGB1 on pulmonary infection and their relationship with disease progression in patients with lung cancer treated with chemotherapy
OBJECTIVE To explore the correlation of long chain non-coding RNA nuclear enriched transcriptome 1(lncRNA NEAT1),soluble myeloid cell trigger receptor-1(sTREM-1)and high mobility group protein B1(HMGB1)with pulmonary infection(PI)in lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.METHODS A total of 188 patients with lung cancer who developed PI after chemotherapy treated in Yichang Second People's Hospital from Jan 2019 to Dec 2022 were included in the infection group, and another 195 patients who did not develop lung cancer infection after chemotherapy during the same period were selected as the non-infection group. The clinical data, lncRNA NEAT1,sTREM-1 and HMGB1 between the two groups were compared, and the predictive value of lncRNA NEAT1,sTREM-1,HMGB1 individual and combined detection in patients with lung cancer undergo-ing chemotherapy was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve. The levels of lncRNA NEAT1,sTREM-1 and HMGB1 among patients with mild, moderate and severe infection were compared.RESULTS The levels of serum lncRNA NEAT1,sTREM-1 and HMGB1 in the infected group were higher than those in the non-infection group(P<0.05).The area under curve(AUC)of lncRNA NEAT1,sTREM-1,HMGB1 individual and combined detection to predict PI in patients with lung cancer chemotherapy were 0.729,0.699,0.730 and 0.854,respectively,with the sensitivity of 67.55%,62.77%,63.30%and 79.26%,respectively,and the specificity of 70.77%,70.26%,75.90%and 82.05%,respectively.AUC,sensitivity,specificity of combined detection was the highest(P<0.05).The levels of serum lncRNA NEAT1,sTREM-1,and HMGB1 in patients showed an in-creasing trend with the severity of infection(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Serum lncRNA NEAT1,sTREM-1 and HMGB1 were closely related to the occurrence and severity of PI in patients with lung cancer chemotherapy, and their expression levels were close related with the severity of PI.The occurrence and severity of pulmonary infec-tion could be evaluated clinically by combining the level expression of lncRNA NEAT1,sTREM-1 and HMGB1.
