Investigation of pathogenic bacteria distribution and risk factors in patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome complicate with infection
OBJECTIVE To explore the pathogenic bacteria distribution, clinical features and predisposing factors in patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome complicate with infection.METHODS The clinical data of 118 patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome admitted to Anqing Municipal Hospital from Jan 2021 to Feb 2023 were retro-spectively recruited in the study.According to whether the infection occurred in patients, they were divided into the infection group(n=32 cases)and non-infection group(n=86 cases). The clinical data of patients with prima-ry Sjogren's syndrome were collected, and the incidence of infection, the distribution of infection sites and the pathogenic distribution were ananlyzed.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the susceptible factors of infection in patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome.RESULTS Among 118 patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome,32 cases were complicated with infection, with an incidence of 27.12%,of which respiratory tract infection accounted for the largest proportion,33 strains of pathogenic bacteria, mainly Escherichia coli among gram-negative(39.39%)and Staphylococcus aureus among gram-positive bacteria(27.27%).Aged,low total protein, low albumin were predisposing factors for co-infection in patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The incidence of co-infection in patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome was high, and the main infection site was respiratory tract, and the main pathogens were E.coli and S.aureus.The suscepti-bility factors were aged, low total protein and low albumin.
