Corralation between HPV genotype and ultrasonic imaging characteristics in patients with breast cancer
OBJECTIVE To investigate the genotype distribution of human papillomavirus(HPV)infection in pa-tients with breast cancer and its relationship with ultrasonic imaging characteristics of breast cancer.METHODS Eighty breast cancer patients with HPV infection who were admitted to the Beijing Language and Culture Univer-sity Hospital,Beijing Social Welfare Hospital, and Northwest Women's and Children's Hospital from Nov 2018 to Feb 23 were included in the infection group, and 102 breast cancer patients without HPV infection during the same period were included in the uninfected group. The clinical characteristics between the two groups was com-pared.The distribution characteristics of HPV genotypes in patients of the infection group was analyzed. The char-acteristics of ultrasound image data, breast image reporting and data system(Bi rads)grading among the high-risk group,low-risk group and uninfected group were compared.RESULTS There were significant differences in lymph node metastasis, pathological stage and histological grade between the two groups(P<0.05).The proportion of low-risk HPV in the infection group was 31.25%,and of high-risk HPV was 68.75%.The proportion of patients with microcalcification in the high-risk group was 60.00%,which was higher than 28.00%and 26.47%in the low-risk and non-infected groups. The proportion of patients with edge burrs in the high-risk group was 54.55%,which was higher than that of 23.53%in the uninfected group. The proportion of patients with a blood supply lev-el 0-1 in the high-risk group was 40.00%,which was lower than that of 68.00%and 66.67%in the low-risk and uninfected groups,respectively(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the Bi-rads grading distribution among the high-risk group,low-risk group, and uninfected group.CONCLUSION High risk HPV in-fection was closely related to the occurrence and development of breast cancer, and HPV infection was related to pathological staging, lymph node metastasis, histological grading, etc. At the same time, the characteristics of ul-trasonic image in high-risk HPV infection patients with microcalcification, marginal burrs and malignant blood supply were more prominent, which could provide an effective basis for screening, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. But HPV infection had no significant impact on Bi-rads grading.
