T cell subsets, gastrointestinal hormones and inflammatory factors of peptic ulcer patients with different types of Helicobacter pylori infections
OBJECTIVE To analyze the peripheral blood T cell subsets, gastrointestinal hormones and inflammatory factors of the peptic ulcer patients with different types of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infections.METHODS Totally 109 peptic ulcer patients who were treated in Chaohu Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University from Jan 2020 to Dec 2022 were recruited as the research subjects. The types of Hp strains were detected by Western Blot. The levels of peripheral blood T cell subsets CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,gastrointestinal hormones gastrin(GAS),motilin(MTL)and inflammatory factors interleukin(IL)-17,IL-33 and tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α)were observed and compared among the patients with different types of Hp infections.RESULTS Among the 109 peptic ulcer patients,80 were positive for Hp,29 were negative, with the positive rate of Hp 73.39%.Of the 80 Hp-positive patients,58 were type HpⅠ,accounting for 73.50%;22 were type HpⅡ,accounting for 27.50%.The levels of CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,IL-17,IL-33,TNF-α,GAS and MTL of the patients with type HpⅡ,HpⅡ infections were signifi-cantly higher than those of the Hp-negative patients(P<0.05),and the levels of above indexes of the patients with type HpⅠ infection were significantly higher than those of the patients with type HpⅡ infection(P<0.05).CONCLUSION There are significant differences in the expression levels of peripheral blood T cell subsets, gastrointestinal hor-mones and inflammatory factors among the patients with different types of Hp infections. The indexes have great significance in distinguishing the severity of peptic ulcer so as to carry out the treatment in a timely manner.
