Expressions of miR-33a,miR-20a and miR-122 in pregnant women with hepatitis B and incidence of neonatal infection
OBJECTIVE To investigate the expression levels of micro ribonucleic acid(miR)-33a,miR-20a and miR-122 in the pregnant women with hepatitis B and analyze the incidence of neonatal infection.METHODS Total-ly 165 pregnant women with hepatitis B who were treated in Huanggang Central Hospital from Jan 2020 to Feb 2022 were assigned as the infection group,meanwhile,184 pregnant women who received prenatal examination but did not have hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection were chosen as the control group. The expression levels of miR-33a,miR-20a and miR-122 were compared between the two groups and among the pregnant women with different viral loads of HBV,and the incidence of HBV infection in neonates was observed and compared among the preg-nant women with different viral loads of HBV.RESULTS The expression levels of miR-33a,miR-20a and miR-122 of the infection group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).In the infection group, the ex-pression levels of miR-33a,miR-20a and miR-122 of the HBV-deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)-positive pregnant women were significantly higher than those of the HBV-DNA-negative pregnant women(P<0.05);the incidence of HBV infec-tion in neonates was significantly higher among the HBV-DNA-positive pregnant women than among the HBV-DNA-neg-ative pregnant women(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The expression levels of miR-33a,miR-20a and miR-122 of the pregnant women with hepatitis B are elevated, the expression levels of miR-33a,miR-20a and miR-122 and the in-cidence of HBV infection in neonates show upward trends with the increase of HBV-DNA load.
