Occupational exposure among health care workers of stomatology department:a meta-analysis
OBJECTIVE To understand the incidence of occupational exposure among health care workers of stoma-tology department.METHODS The literatures with regard to incidence of occupational exposure among health care workers of stomatology department in China were retrieved from CBM,CNKI,VIP,Wanfang and PubMed data-bases till Oct 2023,the meta-analysis was performed by using ST ATA 14.0 software.RESULTS A total of 12 lit-eratures in relating to retrospective survey that were published from 2007 to 2023 were included in this study,with 2157 health care workers of stomatology department involved.The analysis of the literatures based on retrospec-tive survey showed that the incidence of occupational exposure was 80 times per 1000 persons per month,with 95％CI(50-120),and the incidence of occupational exposure ranged between 8 and 233 times per 1000 DMP per month in 10 provinces/municipalities/autonomous regions of Chinese mainland.The reporting rate of occupational exposure was 39％among the health care workers of stomatology department,with 95％CI(14％-68％).CONCLUSION The incidence of occupational exposure is high among the health care workers of stomatology de-partment in China,and the reporting rate of occupational exposure is low after the occupational exposure occurs.It is necessary to take effective prevention measures so as to prevent the occupational exposure among the health care workers of stomatology department.
