Prevalence survey of anxiety and depression among college students during the epidemic of novel coronavirus pneumonia
OBJECTIVE To investigate the anxiety and depression among college students during the epidemic of no-vel coronavirus pneumonia,and to provide reference for future mental health counseling of college students.METHODS Through the cross-sectional research method,640 college students were selected as research subjects by cluster sampling method,and 640 college students were surveyed by using self-made general information ques-tionnaire,the anxiety self-assessment scale,and the depression self-assessment scale.RESULTS In the univariate analysis of 640 college students'anxiety self-assessment scale and depression self-assessment scale,the results showed that the difference in age,place of origin,grade and major were statistically significant(P<0.05).In the multivariate analysis of 640 college students'anxiety self-assessment scale and depression self-assessment scale,the difference in age,native place and grade in anxiety self-assessment scale and depression self-assessment scale were statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION In response to the fact that anxiety and depression among college students during the epidemic of novel coronavirus pneumonia varied by ages,origin and grades,it is neces-sary to analyze and interpret the situation scientifically,guide public opinion correctly,and clarify the prevention methods to improve the anxiety and depression of college students.
