Efficacy of budesonide atomization combined with tansnasal continuous positive airway pressure ventilation in the treatment of severe neonatal pneumonia infection
OBJECTIVE To analyze the curative effect of budesonide atomization combined with nasal continuous positive airway pressure(NPCAP)in the treatment of severe pneumonia infection.METHODS Children with se-vere neonatal pneumonia admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were enrolled between May 2022 and May 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group(n=60)and a combination group(n=60).Both groups were treated with conventional symptomatic treatment,the control group was treated with NPCAP on a conventional basis,while the combination group was treated with budesonide atomization on basis of control group,and both groups were treated for 1 week.The clinical efficacy and adverse reaction rates were com-pared.The levels of partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),oxy-genation index,difference of alveoli-arterial oxygen pressure(A-aDO2)and oxygenation index(OI)were detected by blood gas analyzer before and after treatment.The levels of serum C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT)and interleukin-6(IL-6)were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay before and after treatment.RESULTS The efficacy of the combination group was better than that of control group(P<0.05).After treat-ment,PaCO2 in the combination group was lower than that in the control group,while PaO2 and oxygenation in-dex were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,A-aDO2 in the combination group was lower than that in the control group,while OI was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,levels of CRP,PCT and IL-6 in the combination group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups dur-ing treatment(P=0.509).CONCLUSION The efficacy of budesonide atomization combined with NPCAP in the treatment of severe neonatal pneumonia infection is clear,which can improve pulmonary oxygenation function,blood gas indexes and inflammatory indexes,and has a certain degree of safety.
