Effect of chemotherapy on postoperative vaginal stump infection and vaginal microecological balance in patients with endometrial cancer
OBJECTIVE To analyze the effect of postoperative chemotherapy on vaginal stump infection and vaginal microecological balance in patients with endometrial carcinoma.METHODS Totally 82 patients with endometrial cancer who underwent radical surgery in Shijiazhuang People'shospital from Sep.2019 to Sep.2021 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into the study and the control groups, with 41 cases in each group. The patients in the study group were treated with chemotherapy after operation, while patients in the control group were not treated with chemotherapy after operation. The vaginal stump infection and vaginal microecological balance were compared between the two groups within 6 months after operation, the levels of tumor marker before and after operation were evaluated, and the recurrence, metastasis rate and overall survival rate within 2 years were evaluated.RESULTS The infection rate of vaginal stump, abnormality rate of vaginal cleanliness and patho-gen infection rate in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).At 6 months after surgery, the levels of glycoantigen125(CA125),glycoantigen 199(CA199)and glycoantigen 153(CA153)were reduced in both groups, and were lower in the study group than in the control group(P<0.05).Relapse rate and metastasis rates within 2 years rate in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The overall survival rate within 2 years in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Chemotherapy after radical hysterectomy of endometrial carcinoma can disrupt the vaginal micro-ecological balance and increase the risk of vaginal stump infection, but it can effectively reduce the levels of tumor marker, improve their short-term prognosis and increase the short-term survival rate of patients.
