Effects of Zhihuang Jiedu drink on control of symptoms and serum α1-AG,α1-AT,IL-17 and IFN-γ of children with influenza A
OBJECTIVE To explore the effects of Zhihuang Jiedu Drink on the control of symptoms and serum α1 a-cidic glycoprotein(α1-AG),α1 antitrypsin(α1-AT),interleukin-17(IL-17)and interferon-γ(IFN-γ)of the chil-dren with influenza A.METHODS A total of 78 children with influenza A who were treated in Mianyang Maternal and Child Care Hospital(Mianyang Children's Hospital)from Jan 2021 to Jan 2023 were enrolled in the study and randomly divided into the control group with 39 cases and the study group with 39 cases.The control group was treated with oseltamivir phosphate capsules,the study group was given additional Zhihuang Jiedu drink on ba-sis of the therapy of the control group,both groups were treated for 1 week.The therapeutic effects and status of control of symptoms were observed and compared between the two groups after the treatment for 1 week.The im-mune function indexes and levels of serum α1-AG,α1-AT,IL-17 and IFN-γ were compared before the treatment and after the treatment for 1 week,and the adverse reactions during the treatment period were observed.RESULTS The total effective rate of the study group was 94.87％after the treatment for 1 week,higher than 76.92％of the control group(P＜0.05).The time of disappearance of cough,pharyngalgia,muscular soreness,fever and nasal congestion and runny nose was shorter in the study group than in the control group(P＜0.05).The peripheral blood neutrophils to lymphocytes ratio(NLR),CD8+,and levels of serum α1-AG,α1-AT,IL-17 and IFN-γ of the two groups were lower after the treatment for 1 week than before the treatment,and the levels of the above indexes of the study group were lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05).The levels of peripheral blood CD4+and CD4+/CD8+of the two groups were elevated,and the levels of the above indexes of the study group were higher(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions be-tween the two groups during the treatment period.CONCLUSION Zhihuang Jiedu drink can regulate the levels of serum α1-AG,α1-AT,IL-17 and IFN-γ of the children with influenza A,alleviate the inflammatory response,im-prove the immune function,and control the symptoms so as to boost the therapeutic effect without a significant in-crease of adverse reactions,with the safety favorable.
