Changes of miR-31,Th17/Treg-related cytokines in peripheral blood of pregnant women complicated with syphilis infection and their clinical significance
OBJECTIVE To explore the expression of micro ribonuclear acid-31(miR-31)and helper T cell 17/regu-latory T cell(Th17/Treg)-related cytokines in peripheral blood of the pregnant women complicated with syphilis infection and analyze the clinical significance.METHODS A total of 106 pregnant women complicated with syphilis infection who were treated in Jinan Fourth People's Hospital from Jun 2019 to Jun 2023 were assigned as the study group,meanwhile,60 healthy pregnant women who gave natural birth were chosen as the control group.The lev-els of peripheral blood Th17/Treg-related cytokines and expression level of miR-31 were observed and compared.The patients of the study group were divided into the normal negative conversion group with 73 cases and the ser-um fixed group with 33 cases according to the treatment outcomes,the expression level of peripheral blood miR-31 and levels of Th17/Treg-related cytokines were compared between the two groups.The value of the peripheral blood miR-31 in prediction of the treatment outcomes of the pregnant women complicated with syphilis infection was analyzed by means of receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves.RESULTS The expression levels of pe-ripheral blood miR-31,transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)and interleukin-10(IL-10)of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05),while the expression levels of IL-17 and TNF-α of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The expression levels of pe-ripheral blood miR-31,TGF-β and IL-10 of the normal negative conversion group were significantly lower than those of the serum fixed group(P<0.05),while the expression levels of IL-17 and TNF-α of the normal negative conversion group were higher than those of the serum fixed group(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the optimal cutoff value of the peripheral blood miR-31 was 0.43 in prediction of poor curative effect on the pregnant women complicated with syphilis infection,the area under curve was 0.788(95%CI:0.699-0.872),and the sensi-tivity and specificity were 75.20%and 70.33%,respectively.CONCLUSION The pregnant women complicated with syphilis infection show the remarkable decline of expression level of peripheral blood miR-31 and have signifi-cant imbalance of Th17/Treg-related cytokines,which has certain value in assessment of the curative effect.
