Pathogens and expressions of serum TAC,α1-AG,IL-35 and IL-6 in puerpera with puerperal infections and association with severity of infections
OBJECTIVE To explore the pathogens and expressions of serum total antioxidant capacity(TAC),α1-a-cidic glycoprotein(α1-AG),interleukin(IL)-35 and IL-6 in the puerpera with puerperal infections and analyze the association with severity of the infections.METHODS A total of 71 puerpera with puerperal infections who were treated in Nanyang Central Hospital/Nanyang Maternal and Child Health Hospital from Jun 2022 to Jun 2023 were assigned as the infection group,meanwhile,71 puerpera without puerperal infections were chosen as the con-trol group.Pathogens were isolated from the cervical secretions of the patients with puerperal infections, the levels of serum TAC,α1-AG,IL-35 and IL-6 were detected for all the enrolled subjects. The levels of serum TAC,α1-AG,IL-35 and IL-6 were observed and compared among the patients with different severities of puerperal infec-tions and different sites of puerperal infections.RESULTS The serum TAC level of the infection group was signifi-cantly lower than that of the control group, while the levels of α1-AG,IL-35 and IL-6 of the infection group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Mycoplasma hom inis was the predominant species of pathogens, accounting for 32.39%.There were significant differences in the serologic indexes among the pa-tients with different severities of infections(P<0.05);as compared with the serum TAC level,it was the patients with mild infection>the patients with moderate infection>the patients with severe infection;as compared with the levels of serum α1-AG,IL-35 and IL-6,it was the patients with mild infection<the patients with moderate infection<the patients with severe infection(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the levels of serum TAC,α1-AG,IL-35 and IL-6 among the patients with different sites of puerperal infections(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The serum TAC,α1-AG,IL-35 and IL-6 are closely associated with genesis and progression of the puerperal infection. It is necessary for the hospital to monitor the above serological indexes in the puerperium so as to prevent the puerperal infections.
