Serum CGRP,PINP and α-DF of patients with peptic ulcer and association with different genotypes of Hp infections
OBJECTIVE To explore the levels of serum calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP),procollagen Ⅰ N-terminal propeptide(PINP)and α-defensins(α-DF)of the patients with peptic ulcer(PU)and analyze the associa-tion with different genotypes of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infections.METHODS Totally 155 patients with PU who were treated in Panan County People's Hospital from Jun 2019 to Jun 2023 were assigned as the ulcer group.The Hp infection was tested for the patients by 14C urea breath test,the genotype of Hp were detected by antibody method.Meanwhile,161 healthy people who received physical examination were chosen as the healthy control group.The levels of serum CGRP,PINP and α-DF were detected.The values of serum CGRP,PINP and α-DF in diagnosis of Hp infection in the PU patients were analyzed by means of receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves.RESULTS The levels of serum CGRP and α-DF of the study group were lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05),while the serum PINP level of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).The 155 PU patients were divided into the Hp-positive group with 87 cases and the Hp-negative group with 68 cases according to the status of Hp infection.The levels of serum CGRP andα-DF of the Hp-positive group were lower than those of the Hp-negative group,while the serum PINP level of the Hp-positive group was higher than that of the Hp-negative group(P＜0.05).The 87 Hp-positive patients were divided into the Hp-positive type Ⅰgroup with 46 cases and the Hp-positive type Ⅱ group with 41 cases according to the genotypes of Hp.The levels of serum CGRP and α-DF of the Hp-positive type Ⅰ group were lower than those of the Hp-positive type Ⅱ group(P＜0.05),while the serum PINP level of the Hp-positive type Ⅰ group was higher than that of the Hp-positive type Ⅱ group(P＜0.05).The area under curve(AUC)of the joint detection of serum CGRP,PINP and α-DF was higher than that of the single detection in diagnosis of the Hp infection in the PU patients(P＜0.05),the sen-sitivity of the joint detection was 83.91％,with the specificity 88.24％.CONCLUSION The PU patients with Hp infection and the patients with different genotypes of Hp infections show abnormal expressions of serum CGRP,α-DF and PINP.The joint detection of the three indexes can raise the diagnostic value of Hp infection in the PU patients.
