Survey and trend of process quality control indexes for surveillance of nosocomial infection in Guizhou Province from 2018 to 2022
OBJECTIVE To understand the baseline situation and characteristics of monitoring of nosocomial infec-tion in Guizhou Province in nearly 5 years and analyze the varying trends of nosocomial infections in the whole province so as to provide basis for further completing the prevention and control measures for nosocomial infection.METHODS By means of the process based regional data monitoring platform, the nosocomial infection-related in-dexes that were reported to the platform from 2018 to 2022,including case-time rate of nosocomial infection,inci-dence rate of type Ⅰ incision surgical site infection, incidence rate of ventilator-associated pneumonia, incidence rate of urinary catheter-related urinary system infection and incidence rate of intravascular catheter-related blood-stream infection, were statistically analyzed.RESULTS A total of 3 537 328 hospitalized patients were monitored from 2018 to 2022,with 30 854 case-times in total, the case-time rate of nosocomial infect 0.87%,and the case-time rate of nosocomial infection ranged between 0.72%and 1.14%in the whole province. The incidence rate of type Ⅰ incision surgical site infection was 0.17%,ranging between 0.13%and 0.25%.The incidence rate of vent-ilator-associated pneumonia was 1.524‰,ranging between 1.052‰ and 3.748‰.The incidence rate of urinary catheter-related urinary system infection was 0.669‰,ranging between 0.520‰ and 1.255‰.The incidence rate of intravascular catheter-related bloodstream infection was 0.094‰,ranging between 0.059‰ and 0.122‰.The incidence rate of intravascular catheter-related bloodstream infection did not show remarkable varying trend in the nearly 5 years, and the rest of the indexes showed downward trends(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The incidence of nosocomial infection generally shows downward trends in the whole province. It is necessary to enhance the indi-vidualized and refined management of nosocomial infection and pay attention to verification and validation of the monitored data.
