Bacterial vaginosis is one of the most common gynecologic diseases and is closely related to premature birth,abortion,infertility,premature rupture of membranes,neonatal infection and pelvic inflammation.It is eas-y to relapse,and some patients were presented with mild clinical symptoms or were asymptomatic,so the clinical diagnosis mainly depends on laboratory examination.At present,the major diagnosis methods in clinical laborato-ries include Nugent score based on morphology,Amsel method,Hay-Ison standard,dry chemical detection,mo-lecular biology method and various omics methods.But none of them could be sensitive and accurate for diagnosis of BV,and the choice of diagnostic markers for some of the methods has not been unified yet.The article focuses on the advantages,disadvantages and applicability of the above methods for diagnosis of BV and elaborates on the latest progress of research on the diagnosis methods.
