Effect of ureteral flexible scope combined with bendable negative pressure suction sheath for the treatment of infected stones
OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical effect of flexible ureteroscopy combined with bendable negative pres-sure suction sheath on treatment of infectious stones.METHOD Retrospective study on Clinical data of 12 patients diagnosed as magnesium ammonium phosphate kidney stones by postoperative stone analysis admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University from Jun.to Dec.2023 were retrospectively studied, all the patients were treated with ureteral soft microscopy combined with bendable negative pressure suction sheath under general anes-thesia,and the effect were analyzed and the related experiences were at a preliminarily stage were summarized.RESULTS Among the 12 patients, there were 4 males and 8 females, aged 40-78 years old;The maximum diam-eter of a single kidney stone was 0.8-2.5 cm,with 7 cases of hydronephrosis.Urinary routine tests indicated the presence of urinary tract infections in all cases. All 12 surgeries were successfully operated, and the operation time was 25-59 minutes, with an average of 39 minutes. There were no complications such as hemorrhage, infectious shock, urinary extravasation, perirenal hematoma, ureteral stone street in the operation and postoperative period. In all cases, double J tubes were removed from the body 2-4 weeks after surgery, and CT+kidney ureter bladder was re-examined after surgery, and all cases had no significant residual kidney stones, and the stones were basical-ly cleared(maximum residual stone diameter<3 mm).CONCLUSION The flexible negative pressure suction sheath has the advantages such as simple operation, less trauma, rapid recovery, high removement rate of calculi and low incidence of infections, especially severe infections during the treatment of the patients with magnesium ammonium phosphate calculi.
