Intervention to visual fatigue in centers sterile supply department and evaluation of effectiveness
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the difference in visual fatigue among staff after adjusting the working hours of the assembly and packaging positions in the central sterile supply department and its impact on the work quality.METHODS During Jun.2023,12 staff members at the assembly and packaging post of a public hospital's CSSD were selected,and under the premise of the same overall working and resting time,a control group A(resting as needed),an intervention group B(resting 15 min for 75 min of work),an intervention group C(resting 10 min for 50 min of work),an intervention group D(resting 5 min for 25 min of work)were set up,respectively.The visual acuity and dry eye symptoms of the staff in the four groups were examined,and the rate of error in the as-sembly of instrument kits was also assessed.RESULTS There was a statistically significant difference in the left eye vision between groups A,B,C and D,while no statistically significant difference was found among the four groups in the right eye vision.The differences in the dry eye symptom score between the different groups were not statistically significant.CONCLUSION Ensuring rest time had a certain effect on alleviating visual fatigue.It is rec-ommended that the manager should pay attention to eye rest.
