Pathogenic bacteria and risk factors for nosocomial infections in hospitalized patients of cardiovascular department
OBJECTIVE To investigate the pathogenic bacteria and risk factors for hospital-acquired infections in hospitalized patients of cardiovascular department.METHODS Totally 454 cardiovascular medicine patients admit-ted to Fuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Jan.2021 to Apr.2022 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into 31 cases in the nosocomial infection group and 423 cases in the no-nosocomial in-fection group. The pathogenic bacteria of nosocomial infection in cardiovascular patients were analyzed, and the risk factors of nosocomial infection were summarized using multivariate logistic regression analysis.RESULTS Of 454 cardiovascular patients,31 cases had nosocomial infection, the nosocomial infection rate was 6.83%.A total of 47 strains of pathogenic bacteria were isolated by co-culture,of which 31 strains of gram-negative bacteria ac-counted for 65.96%,13 strains of gram-positive bacteria accounted for 27.66%and 3 strains of fungi accounted for 6.38%,predominately Klebsiella pneumoniae. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that heart function level(≥Ⅲ)(OR=2.314,95%CI:1.241-4.316),length of hospital stay(≥2 weeks)(OR=1.709,95%CI:1.045-2.795),and hypoalbuminemia(OR=2.024,95%CI:1.462-3.422)were risk factors for hospital acquired infections in cardiovascular patients(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The pathogenic bacte-ria of nosocomial infection in cardiovascular medicine patients were mainly gram-negative bacteria, and the risk factors of nosocomial infection in cardiovascular patients could provide reference for the prevention and control strategy of nosocomial infection.
