Expressions of serum SFPD,LDH,Tim-3 and PDCD5 in patients with influenza A virus infection and significance
OBJECTIVE To explore the association of serum surface active protein D(SFTPD),lactate dehydrogen-ase(LDH),immune regulatory molecule T cell immunoglobulin, mucin domain protein 3(Tim-3),and pro-grammed cell death molecule 5(PDCD5)with the inflammatory response and disease severity of the patients with influenza A virus infection.METHODS A total of 569 subjects with influenza A virus infection were selected from Tianjin Chest Hospital from Apr.2023 to Oct.2023.According to the disease severity, they were divided into the mild group with 429 cases and the severe group with 140 cases.Another 575 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations during the same period were selected as the control group. The levels of inflammatory re-sponse indexes, serum SFTPD,LDH,Tim-3 and PDCD5 were compared among the three groups.Pearson corre-lation analysis was performed for the correlation between the serum SFTPD,LDH,Tim-3,PDCD5 levels and the inflammatory response indexes, and the severity of the disease.RESULTS The levels of serum amyloid like protein(SAA),C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),interleukin-6(IL-6),and interleukin-17(IL-17)of the severe group were higher than those of the mild group and the control group(P<0.05),and the levels of above indexes of the mild group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The levels of serum SFTPD,LDH,Tim-3 and PDCD5 of the severe group were higher than those of the mild group and the control group(P<0.05),and the levels of above indexes of the mild group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The serum SFTPD,LDH,Tim-3,and PDCD5 were positively correlated with SAA,CRP,PCT,IL-6,IL-17,and the severity of the disease(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS The expressions of serum SFTPD,LDH,Tim-3 and PDCD5 are correlated with the occurrence and development of influenza A virus infection and intimately related to the inflammatory response and the severity of disease. It is necessary for the hospital to determine the progression of illness condition of the patients with influenza A virus infection based on the indexes.
