Associations of HPV 16/18 infection,MDM2,MMP-2,Rb protein expression and clinicopathological characteristics in patients with breast cancer
OBJECTIVE To investigate the associations of human papillomavirus(HPV)16/18 infection,expres-sion of murine double minute 2(MDM2),matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2),retinoblastoma gene(Rb)pro-tein and clinicopathological characteristics in patients with breast cancer(BC).METHODS We selected 209 pa-tients with BC as the study subjects from Jam.2020 to Oct.2023.HPV 16/18,MDM2,MMP-2 and Rb protein in BC and peritumoral tissues(PTT)were tested, the clinicopathological characteristics were documented, and sta-tistical analysis was undergone for the comparison.RESULTS The positive rates of HPV 16/18,MDM2,MMP-2 and Rb protein were higher in tumor tissues than those in PTT(P<0.05);moreover,the positive rates of indica-tors above and the proportions of menopause, lymph node metastasis, histological grade Ⅲ and pTNM Grade Ⅲin HPV 16/18 positive subjects were higher than those in HPV 16/18 negative ones(P<0.05).Otherwise,the positive rates of MDM2,MMP-2 and Rb proteins were higher in the patients with lymph node metastasis,meno-pause and tumor diameter>5 cm than those with no metastasis,no menopause and tumor diameter ≤5 cm(P<0.05);and with increasing histological grade and pTNM Grade,MDM2,MMP-2 and Rb protein expression in-creased.CONCLUSION HPV 16/18 infection,MDM2,MMP-2,and Rb proteins are closely related to the occur-rence and clinicopathological characteristics of BC,and there are also certain relations between HPV 16/18 infec-tion and expressions of MDM2,MMP-2 and Rb proteins.
