Objective To explore and analyze the application value of wound stoma intervention in the treatment and control of chronic refractory wounds. Methods In this study,74 patients with chronic refractory wounds admitted to Sanmenxia Hospital of the Yellow River from March 2023 to March 2024 were selected as observation subjects. They were divided by random number table method.37 patients in the control group received routine skin intervention management, and 37 patients in the observation group received wound stoma intervention on the basis of routine management. The wound treatment result, pain level, and inflammation index of the two groups were observed. Results In this study, the time spent on symptom improvement, repair preparation, and hospitalization in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in NRS score between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).The NRS score at different time points after intervention was lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The inflammatory indexes of CRP,IL-1 β and TNF-α were lower after intervention than before intervention(P<0.05).The inflam-mation indexes in the observation group decreased more significantly than those in the control group decreased(P<0.05).Conclusion Wound stoma intervention for patients with chronic refractory wounds can help patients with better control of their condition, promoting wound healing, shortening hospital stay, reducing patients'pain experience, reducing the level of body inflammation, and improving patients'quality of life.
