Objective To investigate the current situation of glucocorticoid use in inpatients in our hospi-tal,evaluate the rationality of its prescription, and provide evidence for clinical rational drug use. Methods 550 patients who received glucocorticoid therapy and were hospitalized in Fuzhou Changle District People's Hospital from December 2020 to December 2022 were randomly selected as the study objects. The types, disease types, dosages, departments, and combination of glucocorticoids used in all patients were retrospectively analyzed, and the basic data of patients were statistically analyzed. And corresponding rational comments were made on some prescriptions. Results Budesonide suspension accounted for the highest proportion of 23.45%,followed by dex-amethasone acetate tablet, dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection, and prednisone acetate tablet.Among the disease types, pulmonary infection was the main one, including 134 cases, accounting for 24.36%;Followed by chronic renal failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma,gallstones/cholecystitis;Pediatric patients were the most involved(19.09%),followed by intensive care unit and cardiovascular medicine.Patients under 10 years old accounted for the highest portion(35.64%),followed by 65-80 years old patients. The number of clinical irrational drug use in the 550 patients studied was high.Irrational drug use results were mostly irrational dosage, irrational combination of drug, and irrational drug administration mode. Conclusion At present, the irrational use of glucocorticoids still exists in the inpatients of our hospital,so it is necessary to strengthen the professional quality of doctors and strengthen the rational and effective supervision of drug use,so as to reduce the phenomenon of irrational drug use and improve the overall level of rational drug use in the hospital.
