Comparison of the Effect of Laparoscopic Transabdominal Preperitoneal Hernia Repair and Open Tension-free Hernia Repair in the Treatment of Inguinal Hernia
Objective To compare the efficacy of laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal hernia repair and open tension-free hernia repair in the treatment of inguinal hernia. Methods 120 male inguinal hernia pa-tients treated in the First People's Hospital of Tianshui City from June 2022 to December 2023 were retrospectively selected as the study subjects. They were divided into the study group and the control group according to different surgical treatment methods. In the studygroup(60 cases),laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal hernia repair was used as the treatment method. The control group(60 cases)was treated with open tension-free hernia repair.By observing perioperative indexes, postoperative inflammatory factor value changes, postoperative complications, pain degree, and other indexes of the two groups of patients, corresponding experimental results were obtained. Results In terms of perioperative indexes,All perioperative indicators exceptthe operation duration of the study group was lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After surgery, theinflammatory factors increased in both groups, but the degree of increase of the inflammatory factors in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).VAS scores of the studygroup at lh after surgery increased compared with those before surgery for both group, but the degree of increase of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Postopera-tive urinary retention occurred in 1 case, incision infection occurred in 2 cases, and scrotal edema occurred in 2 cas-es,with a total incidence of 8.33%.In the control group, postoperative complications included 1 case of urinary retention,3 cases of incision infection,1 case of scrotal edema, and 1 case of organ injury, with a total incidence of 10%.There's no statistical significant difference between them(P>0.05).Conclusion After treated with laparo-scopic transabdominal preperitoneal hernia repair, the patient's various physical functions recover quickly, and the effect is significant,so it's worthy of popularization and application.
