A Comparative Study on the Effect of Beclomethasone Propionate Nasal Aerosol Combined with Modified Nasal Irrigation Regimen on the Clinical Efficacy of Children with Acute Rhinosinusitis
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of treating children with acute rhinosinusitis with the combination of beclomethasone propionate nasal aerosol and modified nasal irrigation regimen.Methods 130 pediatric patients with acute rhinosinusitis admitted to the Department of Otolaryngology of Xiajin County People's Hospital from January 2020 to November 2023 were selected and randomly divided into the study group(beclometh-asone propionate nasal aerosol)and the control group(beclomethasone propionate nasal aerosol and modified nasal irrigation regimen),with 65 cases in each group.Inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-αα(TNF-α),interleukin-8(IL-8)]and infection markers[procalcitonin(PCT)and C-reactive protein(CRP)]were ob-served before and after treatment in each group,and the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were analyzed.Re-sults There was no significant difference in the levels of IL-6,IL-8,TNF-α,PCT,and CRP between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the levels of IL-6,IL-8,TNF-α,PCT,and CRP in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total clinical effective rate of the study group was 96.92%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(76.92%),and the difference was statistical-ly significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 3.08%,which was significantly lower than that in the control group(13.85%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Treating patients with acute sinusitis with the combination of beclomethasone propionate nasal aerosol and modified nasal irrigation regimen can not only reduce the inflamma-tory response and the infection index,but also improve the clinical efficacy,reduce adverse reactions,and ensure the treatment safety of patients.
