Objective To study the feasibility and application value of direct digital imaging technology in the diagnosis of common diseases in stomatology department. Methods 65 outpatients in the stomatology department of Jianhe County Ethnic Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to February 2024 were retrospectively selected. The compliance, image quality, and diagnostic efficiency of common diseases in the stomatology department examined by traditional X-ray and direct digital imaging techniques were statistically ana-lyzed,and the optimal exposure time and image quality of each tooth position projected by direct digital imaging technique was analyzed. Results The compliance rate of using direct digital imaging technology to examine common diseases in oral medicine was higher than that of traditional X-ray examination(P<0.05),and the rate of excellent image quality was higher of direct digital imaging technology than that of traditional X-ray examination(P<0.05).The diagnostic efficiency of direct digital imaging technology was higher than that of traditional X-ray examination(P<0.05).The optimal exposure time for the lower anterior tooth area and lower posterior tooth area was longer than that of the upper anterior tooth area and upper posterior tooth area(P<0.05),and the excellent image quality rate of the upper anterior tooth area and lower anterior tooth area was higher than that of the upper posterior tooth area and lower posterior tooth area(P<0.05).Conclusion The feasibility of using direct digital imaging technology in the diagnosis of common diseases in oral medicine is higher than that of traditional X-ray examinations,so is worthy of promotion and application in the clinical.
