Objective To investigate the value of emergency Computed Tomography in the examination of knee fractures and ligament injuries. Methods 102 patients with knee fracture and/or ligament injury admit-ted to Yinan PanfengOrthopaedic Hospital from July 2023~March 2024 were selected, and all patients underwent emergency CT and X-ray examinations. The detection of knee fractures and ligament injuries by CT and X-ray was compared. Results All patients had knee fractures, and the detection rate of knee fractures by CT was 99.02%,which was significantly higher than that of X-ray(69.61%),and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(P<0.001).Among the 102 patients,77 patients had ligament injury, and the detection rate of ligament injury by CT was 77.92%,which was significantly higher than that of X-ray(22.08%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion Emergency CT scan has a high detection rate in the examination of knee fractures and ligament injuries and can be widely used in the examination of emergency bone and joint injuries.
