Objective To observe the effect of color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis and treatment of male erectile dysfunction.Methods 71 patients with suspected penile erectile dysfunction enrolled in the outpa-tient department of the Third People's Hospital affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects.The IIEF-5 self-evaluation form was used for preliminary screening.The patients were given PDE5-5 inhibitor orally,and after sufficient stimulation and erec-tion,they were examined by ultrasound.The hardness modulus of penis was measured by SWE.Results The score of IIEF-5 questionnaire showed that there were 23 cases of mild erectile dysfunction,30 cases of moderate dysfunction,and 18 cases of severe dysfunction.The lower the score,the more serious the erectile dysfunction was.Ultrasonic hemodynamic examination showed that 15 cases were normal,16 cases were under-perfused,17 cases were penile vein occlusion insufficiency,and 23 cases were arteriovenous insufficiency.There is a significant corre-lation between penis hardness and hemodynamics and IIEF-5 score(P＜0.05).Conclusion Color Doppler ul-trasound can detect the penile hemodynamics,judge the ED type,and shear wave elastic imaging technology,which is expected to become a routine means to evaluate penile erectile function.
