Objective To evaluate the effect of intramedullary nailing fixation technology(INR)in the treat-ment of upper limb long bone traumatic fractures. Methods 76 patients with upper limb long bone fractures ad-mitted to the First People's Hospital of Qingzhen City from January 2020 to December 2023 were randomly divided into theobservation group(38 cases)and the control group(38 cases)according to the odd even number method. The control group received treatment with locking compression plate internal fixation(LCP),while the observation group received INR treatment. The surgical indicators, pain level, limb function(FMA),improvement in activities of daily living(ADL),and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time, time to get out of bed,and length of hospital stay in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The intraoperative blood loss in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The VAS scores at 2 h,12 h,24 h,and 72 h postoperatively in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The FMA and ADL scores improved after treatmentin both groups, with a more significant improvement in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion INR treatment for upper limb long bone traumatic fractures helps to alleviate pain,im-prove limb function, daily activities, and reduce complications.
