Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of ceftazidimecombined with azithromycin in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia in children. Methods 80 children with Mycoplasma pneumonia admitted to Renhuai Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Zunyi City,Guizhou Province from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected as the study subjects. The children were randomly divided into the study group(n=40)and the con-trol group(n=40).The control group received intravenous infusion of azithromycin, while the study group received intravenous infusion of ceftazidimecombined with azithromycin. Results The clinical effective rate of the study group was 97.50%,which was higher than that of the control group(72.50%)(P=0.002).The study group had a shorter duration of fever, cough, relief of lung rales, and hospitalization compared to the control group(P<0.001).After treatment, the inflammatory indicators of both groups of children improved(P<0.001),and the levels of TNF-α,IFN-γ,IL-6,and IL-8 in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.001).The inci-dence of adverse reactions in the study group was 7.50%,which was lower than that(25.00%)in the control group(P=0.034).Conclusion In the treatment of Mycoplasma pneumonia in children, the combination of ceftazidime-and azithromycin has significant clinical efficacy, effectively promoting the improvement of clinical symptoms and reducing inflammatory reactions.
