Objective To explore the application effectiveness of combined traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of ectopic pregnancy.Methods 70 ectopic pregnancy patients undergoing conservative treatment at Bozhou District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Zunyi City,from April 2022 to April 2024 were selected for this study.Using random drawing method,patients were divided into the Western medicine group and the combined traditional Chinese and Western medicine group.The Western medicine group received methotrexate combined with mifepristone.The combined group additionally received oral"Ectopic Pregnancy Formula No.1"and topical application of"Xiaozheng San".Clinical outcomes,adverse reactions,and relevant indicators before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results Prior to treatment,there were no significant dif-ferences in β-HCG levels and gestational sac diameter between the Western medicine group and the combined group(P＞0.05).After treatment,both groups showed reductions in β-HCG levels and gestational sac diameter(P＜0.05),while the combined group demonstrated significantly lower levels compared to the Western medicine group(P＜0.05).The clinical efficacy rate in the combined group was 94.49％,significantly higher than that(77.14％)in the Western medicine group(P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in the occurrence rates of nausea,vomiting,diarrhea or constipation,oral ulcers,leukopenia,and liver damage between the combined group and the Western medicine group during treatment(P＞0.05).Conclusion Combined traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapy for ectopic pregnancy can shorten treatment duration,promote physiological recovery,and achieve precise clinical efficacy with high safety.
