Objective To explore the effectiveness of standardized emergency care in the treatment process of orthopedic polytrauma patients. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 84 orthopedic polytrau-ma patients treated at the Army's 73th Group Army Hospital from September 2021 to September 2023.Based on different nursing measures, patients were divided into the standardized emergency care group(study group,n=42)and the routine emergency care group(control group,n=42).Comparison was made between the rescue situations, quality of survival, and satisfaction of patients in both groups. Results The study group showed significantly shorter arrival times of emergency vehicles and time to surgery upon admission compared to those of the control group(P<0.001).Post-rescue,the rescue success rate of patients in the study group was 92.86%,which was sig-nificantly higher than that of the control group(73.81%)(P<0.05).After treatment, patients in the study group had significantly higher scores in all five dimensions of quality of life compared to those of patients in the control group(P<0.001).The satisfaction rate in the study group was 92.86%,significantly higher than that of the control group(76.19%)(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment process of orthopedic polytrauma patients, standardized emer-gency care shortened emergency response times, improved satisfaction, and increased rescue success rates.
