Objective To explore the effectiveness of implementing Clinical Pathways(CP)in the emergen-cy care of patients with severe chest trauma. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 100 cases of severe chest trauma treated in our hospital from June 2021 to June 2023.The patients were divided into two groups:the study group(n=50,receiving standard care)and the control group(n=50,receiving care based on Clinical Path-ways).Rescue time, hospitalization duration, costs, complications, mortality rates, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The study group had significantly shorter rescue and hospitalization times compared to the control group(P<0.001).The emergency care costs in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.001).The complication rate in the study group was 4.00%,significant-ly lower than that(26.00%)in the control group, with a statistically significantdifference(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in mortality rates between the study and control groups(P>0.558).Nursing satisfaction in the study group(92.00%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(62.00%)(P<0.001).Conclusion Implementing Clinical Pathways in the emergency care of severe chest trauma can shorten rescue times, reduce complications and financial burden, and improve nursing satisfaction.
