Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical value of pre-hospital emergency care and emergency depart-ment rescue models for patients with severe multiple injuries. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 90 patients with severe multiple injuries who were treated in the Emergency Department of Hechi People's Hospital,Guangxi, between May 2020 and May 2023. The patients were divided into an observation group (pre-hospital emergency care model,n=45) and a control group (emergency department rescue model,n=45) based on the emergency care model used. The rescue time, efficiency of resuscitation, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group had significantly shorter times for pre-hospital emergency team arrival, emergency department stay, diagnostic evaluation, emergency department personnel arriv-al,resuscitation,preoperative preparation, emergency wait, and ICU hospitalization compared to the control group (P<0.001). The correct diagnosis rate in the observation group was 88.89%,significantly higher than 71.11% in the control group (P=0.035). The success rate of resuscitation in the observation group was 95.56%,significantly higher than 82.22% in the control group (P=0.044). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 4.44% (2 cases),lower than the 24.44% (11 cases) in the control group (P=0.007). Conclusion For patients with severe multiple injuries,a standardized pre-hospital emergency care model can effectively shorten rescue times, improve re-suscitation efficiency, reduce the risk of adverse reactions, and increase patient satisfaction with care.
