Objective To analyze the clinical value of combining nitroglycerin with acupoint pressure in the treatment of angina pectoris from three aspects:angina relief time, heart rate levels, and rescue outcomes. Meth-ods A total of 90 patients with coronary heart disease and angina pectoris, admitted to the Second Workers' Hos-pital of Wuhan Iron and Steel Group between February 2023 and April 2024,were selected for this study. Patients were randomly divided into two groups:the observation group (n=45),which received acupoint pressure combined with sublingual nitroglycerin, and the control group (n=45),which received sublingual nitroglycerin alone. The two groups were compared in terms of angina relief time, heart rate and blood pressure levels, and rescue out-comes. Results The average angina relief time in the observation group was (1.65±0.33) minutes, significantly shorter than that in the control group (2.92±0.58) minutes, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.001). Be-fore treatment, there were no significant differences in heart rate and blood pressure levels between the two groups (P>0.05);after treatment, both heart rate and blood pressure levels improved in both groups, with significantly low-er heart rate and blood pressure levels in the observation group compared to the control group (P<0.05). After res-cue efforts, the rescue effectiveness rate was 95.56% in the observation group, significantly higher than the 73.33% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion For acute coronary heart disease and angina pectoris, combining nitroglycerin with acupoint pressure can shorten the time to angina relief, regulate blood pressure and heart rate levels, and improve rescue outcomes.
