Objective The aim of this study is to improve the quality of internship teaching by construct-ing and designing a clinical internship pathway for internal medicine. Methods Teachers are expected to con-duct thorough preparation before the course,and students are required to form internship groups. Suitable cases for teaching should be selected,and bedside learning should be implemented using homogenous cases through cross-rotation. Teaching faculty should provide regular guidance and communication to ensure seamless continuity in the internship process. Emphasis is placed on cultivating students' clinical thinking,teamwork,and integrating humanistic and ideological education. A diversified evaluation system for the course is also implemented. Re-sults Compared with traditional internship teaching methods,the newly structured pathway increased teachers' sense of responsibility and enthusiasm. The student-centered learning approach encouraged students to actively participate in hospital internships,facilitating the transition from theory to practice and giving students a sense of achievement through patient interaction. Conclusion Standardizing and constructing a clinical internship teach-ing pathway for internal medicine,combined with practical exploration,contributes to improving the quality of internship teaching. The course demonstrates exemplary outcomes and facilitates the dissemination and exchange of teaching achievements.
