Objective To evaluate the diagnostic and nursing effects of comprehensive abdominal ultra-sound examination for acute abdomen, providing reference for clinical application and nursing. Methods From January 2022 to January 2024,110 patients with acute abdomen admitted to the ultrasound department of Tai'an Maternal and Child Health Hospital were randomly divided into a control group (traditional abdominal ultrasound examination) and a study group (comprehensive abdominal ultrasound examination),with 55 patients in each group. All patients received emergency nursing care. The diagnostic compliance rate, ultrasound examination, clinical di-agnosis time and examination cost,as well as the pain level (VAS),anxiety (SAS),and depression (SDS) emotions of the patients before and after nursing were observed in both groups. Results The difference in SAS,SDS,and VAS scores between the two groups of patients before nursing was small (P>0.05). The diagnostic accuracy and examination cost of the study group were higher than those of the control group, but the clinical diagnosis and ultrasound examination time were shorter than those of the control group (P<0.05). Moreover, the SAS,SDS,and VAS scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group after nursing, and the difference was sta-tistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Compared to traditional abdominal ultrasound examination, although comprehensive abdominal ultrasound examination for acute abdomen takes more time and cost,it can effectively improve the clinical diagnosis accuracy of patients, reduce diagnostic time, and emergency nursing intervention for acute abdomen patients has a significant alleviating effect on their negative emotions and pain, with a significant nursing effect.
