Objective To explore the expression and pathological significance of MLH1,PMS2,MSH2,and MSH6 in colorectal adenocarcino-ma tissue. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 100 patients who underwent laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer in our hospital from February 2020 to February 2023.Immunohistochemical methods were used to detect the expression of mismatch modification proteins MLH1,PMS2,MSH2,and MSH6 in their tissues, and the deletion of mismatch modification proteins in the included population was counted and the stability and strength were analyzed. Results Among the 100 patients included in this study, there were 48 patients with rec-tal cancer and 52 with colon cancer. There were 12 cases(12%)of MLH1 expression deficiency,7 cases(7%)of MSH2 expression deficiency,13 cas-es(13%)of PMS2 expression deficiency, and 9 cases(9%)of MSH6 expression deficiency.Age has a certain correlation with stability,P<0.05,while gender, maximum tumor diameter, tumor stage, lymph node metastasis and differentiation have no significant correlation with stability,P>0.05.The expression of MLH1,PMS2,MSH2,and MSH6 in rectal adenocarcinoma tissue was significantly higher than that in surrounding tissues, with statisti-cal significance(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a certain correlation between the expression of MLH1,PMS2,MSH2,and MSH6 and the stability and expression intensity of tumors, which has guiding significance for the evaluation of colorectal cancer.
