Expression and pathological significance of CK20,P53,MSH6 and Ki67 in cancer tissues after radical surgery for colorectal cancer
Objective To investigate the expression and pathological significance of cytokeratin 20(CK20),p53 tumor protein(P53),mis-match repair enzyme 6(MSH6)and cell proliferation nuclear antigen Ki67(Ki67)in cancer tissues after radical surgery for colorectal cancer. Methods Clinical data of 93 patients admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to May 2024 and underwent radical surgery for colorectal cancer were retrospectively analyzed.Immunohistochemical methods were used to detect the expression of CK20,P53,MSH6 and Ki67 in the cancer tissues and paracance tissues of the patients, and the relationship between the expression status of the indexes and the clinical characteristics was analyzed in combination with the baseline data of the patients. Results The percentages of CK20,P53 and Ki67 positivity were higher in cancer tissues than those in paracancer tissues, and the percentage of MSH6 negativity was higher than that in paracancer tissues(P<0.05).The relationship between gen-der,age,location of the lesion, presence of lymph node metastasis, tumor diameter, depth of infiltration and degree of differentiation and CK20 expres-sion status was not significant(P>0.05).CK20 positive expression was correlated with clinical stage(P<0.05).The relationship between gender,age,le-sion location and tumor diameter and P53 expression status was not significant(P>0.05).P53-positive expression was correlated with the presence of lymph node metastasis, depth of infiltration, degree of differentiation and clinical stage(P<0.05).The relationship between gender, lesion location, presence of lymph node metastasis, tumor diameter, depth of infiltration, degree of differentiation and clinical stage and MSH6 expression status was not significant(P>0.05).MSH6 negative expression was correlated with age(P<0.05).There was no significant relationship between gender,age,loca-tion of lesions and degree of differentiation and Ki67 expression status(P>0.05).Ki67-positive expression was correlated with the presence of lymph node metastasis, tumor diameter, depth of infiltration, and clinical stage(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression status of CK20,P53,MSH6 and Ki67 is closely related to the pathological characteristics of patients after radical surgery for colorectal cancer, which can be evaluated and provide guidance for the treatment of colorectal cancer.
