The impact of Glisson extrinsic blood flow blockage and Pringle complete hepatic blood flow blockade on hepatocellular cancer in patients with cirrhosis is examined in this study
Objective To compare the effects of Glisson extrinsic blood flow blockade and Pringle complete hepatic blood flow blockade on surgical outcomes in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and cirrhosis. Methods A prospective study was conducted on 90 patients with HCC and cirrhosis who underwent surgery from September 2021 to August 2023.The patients were randomly assigned to Group A(Glisson extrinsic blood flow blockade,n=45)or Group B(Pringle complete hepatic blood flow blockade,n=45).Perioperative outcomes, liver function, complications, and recurrence rates were compared between the two groups. Results Group A demonstrated significantly better perioperative outcomes compared to Group B(P<0.05).At 1 week postoperatively, liver function in Group A was superior to that in Group B(P<0.05).The incidence of complications was lower in Group A(4.44%)than in Group B(20.00%)(P<0.05).Recurrence rates between the two groups were not significantly different(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared to Pringle complete hepatic blood flow blockade,Glisson extrinsic blood flow blockade offers better surgical outcomes,im-proved liver function recovery, and fewer complications in patients with HCC and cirrhosis, making it a promising approach for clinical use.
