Since the 18th CPC National Congress,the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has attached great importance to the work of immigration administration,and the national immigration administration cause has made historic achievements and changes.In recent times,the situation for foreign talents coming to China has become increasingly severe,posing challenges to immigration administration and the work related to foreign talents.The independent application system for skilled migration refers to a system where foreigners can apply for skilled migration based on their skills independently,which is an important immigration system that addresses the issue of attracting foreign talents.Developed countries such as the United States,Australia,the United Kingdom,Germany and Singapore have established and improved their independent application systems for skilled migration.However,China has not yet established such a system at the national level.To explore the skilled migration system in China,it could start by establishing an independent application system for skilled migration,breaking away from the"introduction"mindset and the"unit person"mindset,and enhancing the immigration mindset and skilled migration mindset.By prioritizing development as the primary goal,it can more effectively coordinate development and security,solving the difficult problem of attracting foreign talents to China.
