Modernisation has triggered national identity crises,and the resolving such crises is an important proposition in the construction of the modern state.Although the economic,cultural and social structural elements of our country have changed dramatically under the impact of modernisation,national identity has remained at a high level.Taking social security as a starting point,this paper models and empirically tests the theoretical logic of resolving national identity crises from the perspective of PFT,so as to answer the question of why chinese citizens have higher national identity.It finds that there is a significant path relationship between social security performance and national identity,and establishes the chain mediation model that social security performance increases the level of political trust by promoting external efficacy and ultimately strengthens national identity is established.Moreover,for those citizens who actively participate in online communities,social security performance enhances their sense of external efficacy to a greater extent.Therefore,social security is an important factor affecting citizens'national identity,and in the future,based on vigorously promoting the construction of"Peaceful China",we should carry out"responsive policing" and pay attention to the management of cyber community space,so that social security work can maximise the promotion of national identity.Therefore,social security is an important factor influencing citizens'sense of national identity,and public security organs should carry out"responsive policing" and pay attention to the"position control" of the online community space,so that policing work can maximise the promotion of national identity.
