Ethical issues and countermeasures in artificial intelligence in education:A perspective from Heidegger's philosophy of technology
As artificial intelligence in education empowers teaching,it simultaneously raises a multitude of ethical issues. Drawing on Heidegger's framework for technological analysis through the lenses of "material cause","formal cause","final cause",and "efficient cause",this study delves into four typical ethical issues sparked by artificial intelligence in education:data privacy and security, algorithmic bias and fairness, the purpose and value of technology, and the attribution and distribution of responsibilities. Based on this analysis,we propose strategies including establishing a comprehensive data security system, enhancing the transparency and interpretability of algorithms, ensuring the humanistic value of technological applications, and setting up an integrated responsibility governance framework. Heidegger's philosophy of technology offers a new perspective for exploring the ethical issues of artificial intelligence in education. The strategies presented for addressing the above-mentioned issues provide insights for advancing technological innovation and ethical considerations,as well as for promoting the harmonious coexistence of technology development and humanity.
