Community structure of nektons in northern Hangzhou Bay in summer and winter
For studying on the characteristic of community structure of nektons in northern Hangzhou Bayduring different seasons, the methods of Index of Relative Importance, Cluster analysis and multivariate statistics etc. were applied in this study to analyze species composition, dominant species and community structure of nektons in this waters. The results indicated that a total of 40 species belonging to 12 orders, 22 families and 33 genera were found .Perciformes (32.5%) anddecapoda (35%) had the highest percentage, andSciaenidae andPalaemonidae separately had the highest percentage inPerciformes anddecapoda, whose percentage is separately 38.5% and 28.6%. The dominant species in summer wereCollichthys lucidus andExopalaemon annandalei, and the dominant species in winter wereCoilia ectenes, Cynoglossus joyneri, Tridentiger barbatus, Palaemon gravieri, Alpheus japonicas and Eriocheir leptognathus. there were no similarities in species during the two seasons. Cluster and Non-metric Multidimensional Scaling indicated that nektons community in northern Hangzhou Bay could be clustered into two groups which were summer and winter assemblages. ANOSIM analysis indicated that there were significant differences in community structure between these two groups(R=0.881,P<0.01). The relationship between fish community pattern and water temperature was dominant through BIOENV program, and the correlation coefficient was 0.773.The research showed that nektons such asCollichthys lucidus,Coiliamystus always migrated to Hangzhou Bay for spawning and feeding. There was typical difference in community structure in different seasons , and the main reason lies in different ecological habits of typical species in summer and winter.
