Effects of Different Additives on Growth Performance,Antioxidant and Immune Properties of Sebastes schlegelii after Overwintering
[Objective]To explore the rapid recovery effects of adding compound probiotics, antimicrobial peptides and plant polyphenols to compound feed on the growth performance, antioxidant performance,non-specific immune performance, serum biochemical indices and inflammatory response of Sebastes schlegelii after overwintering.[Method]Four isonitrogen and isoenergetic experimental diets were designed. The normal diet was used as control group, the normal diet coated with compound probiotics as compound probiotics group, and 0.5%antimicrobial peptide and 0.05%plant polyphenols added to the basic formula were named as antimicrobial peptides group and plant polyphenols group.144 S.schlegelii with initial body weight of(249.13±0.58)g were randomly divided into 4 groups with 3 replicates per group and 12 fish per replicate. The culture experiment was conducted for 21 days.[Result]The weight gain rate of fish in antimicrobial peptides group and plant polyphenols group were significantly higher than that in control group and compound probiotics group(P<0.05).The serum total antioxidant capacity in antimicrobial peptides group was significantly higher than that in control group and compound probiotics group(P<0.05).The malondialdehyde content in all groups was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The lysozyme activity in plant polyphenols group was significantly higher than that in control group and compound probiotics group(P<0.05).Immunoglobulin M in antimicrobial peptides group and plant polyphenols group was significantly higher than that in compound probiotics group(P<0.05).The superoxide dismutase activity, complement 3,total protein and albumin in plant polyphenols group were significantly higher than those in other groups(P<0.05).Interleukin-15(IL-15)and toll-like receptor 8(TLR8)mRNA expression in antimicrobial peptides group and plant polyphenols group were significantly down-regulated while IL-12b mRNA expression in antimicrobial peptides group was significantly up-regulated(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in survival rate, acid phosphatase, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase activity and expression of IL-1β among all groups(P>0.05).[Conclusion]Under the experimental conditions, compared with control group, plant polyphenols and antimicrobial peptides could significantly improve the growth, antioxidant performance and non-specific immune performance of S.schlegelii after overwintering, and regulate the gene expression of inflammatory and anti-inflammatory factors. However, the effect of compound probiotics was not obvious.
