Algae-lysing Effect of Algicidal Bacterium Serratia sp.on Microcystis aeruginosa and Scenedesmus obliquus
[Objective]The aim of this paper is to investigate the algae-lysing effect of an algaolytic bacterium S6(Serratia sp.)on dominant cyanobacteria and green algae in eutrophic water.[Method]The algaolytic bacterium S6(Serratia sp.,accession No.KY462187)was isolated from the eutrophic water;the bacterium at different concentrations was added to the algal solutions of Microcystis aeruginosa,Scenedesmus obliquus, and a mixture of the two in the ratios of 1∶1(Hereinafter referred to as"mixed algae").The algal biomass, concentration of chlorophyll a,NH3-N and TP of the experimental systems were measured, and the algae-lysing effect on different algae and effect on nitrogen and phosphorus of the experimental systems were analyzed in a fortnight.Then,algae-lysing products were analyzed by spectral technology of these experimental systems.[Result and Conclusion]The strain S6 had a desirable algae-lysing effect on M.aeruginosa and S.obliquus under monoculture and coculture, the higher the concentrations of bacterium, the better the algae-lysing effect, dissolving M.aeruginosa,S.obliquus and the mixed algae under coculture with a removal rate of 89.4%,80%and 78.6%in the three original bacterial suspensions.Furthermore, the concentrations of NH3-N and total phosphorus(TP)of the three experimental systems existed fluctuations significantly, those of the M.aeruginosa decreased by 21.24 and 6.21 mg/L,those of the S.obliquus decreased by 13.19 and 7.54 mg/L,those of the mixed algae decreased by 10.81 and 11.85 mg/L.The algae-lysing products of the three experimental systems were analyzed by infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet spectroscopy and three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy scanning, and it was found that the algae-lysing products of M.aeruginosa mainly contained tryptophan-like,fulvic acid-like and humic acid-like substances, while the algae-lysing products of S.obliquus mainly contained tryptophan-like and humic acid-like substances.
