Based on the data of 30 provinces(municipalities)in mainland China(excluding Tibet)from 2010 to 2022,the spatial and temporal patterns and influencing factors of the coupling and coordination of green finance and carbon emission efficiency are analyzed by using the coupling coordination degree model,Gini coefficient decomposition, and spatial Durbin model. It is found that China's green finance-carbon emission efficiency system presents the overall characteristics of a high coupling degree, low coordination degree, and low development level;the coupling and coordination degree of the two systems show a steadily rising trend, and a gradient pattern of high in the east and low in the west. The degree of coupling coordination between the two systems shows a steadily increasing trend and a gradient spatial distribution pattern of east high and west low, accompanied by the phenomenon of spatial aggregation and regional imbalance, and the overall difference in the degree of coupling coordination mainly comes from the inter-regional differences and shows a tendency to expand;the degree of government intervention and financialization positively promotes the coupling coordination of the development of the inter-systems,and the government intervention in space has a positive externality. In contrast, the industrial structure has a significant inhibitory effect and negative externality. And negative externality, the negative externality of urbanization level is obvious. Therefore, the level of coupling and coordination between green finance and carbon efficiency can be increased and inter-regional disparities reduced through government-bank linkages,government-business synergies and strengthening regional spatial linkages.
