Hoffmann 的《构式语法:英语的结构》(2022)一书运用基于用法的构式语法方法,对英语语法进行了详细描述和充分解释,体现了学术研究的新前沿.该书内容涵盖了英语语法分析的各个层面,从构词法和屈折形态到短语,再到小句和各种信息结构.它还概述了如何运用构式语法来解释英语习得、语言变异和演化.此外,它对构式语法各主要流派的异同进行了深入的比较,提倡"句法分析的构式方法",并进行了前瞻性的总结.
Abstract
Hoffmann's book Construction Grammar:The Structure of English(2022)uses a usage-based construction grammar approach to provide a detailed description and thorough explanation of English grammar,reflecting the new academic frontier of English grammar studies.The book covers various aspects of English grammatic analyses,including word-formation,inflectional and phrasal constructions,clausal constructions and information structure constructions.It also addresses how to use the construction grammar approach to explain the acquisition,variation and evolution of the English language.Moreover,it provides an in-depth comparison of the similarities and differences among the main schools of construction grammar,advocates for Constructional Approach to Syntactic Analysis,and provides a forward-looking summary.
