Experimental Research in Pragmatics:Current Status,Hot Topics and Trends
Based on bibliometric analysis,this paper reviews the current status and hot topics of international research on experimental pragmatics and neuropragmatics from 2000 to 2024 to elucidate the trends of experimental research in pragmatics.It finds that neuropragmatics has achieved a further development on experimental pragmatics under the impetus of cognitive neuroscience.Experimental pragmatics develops towards the study on pragmatic neural and brain mechanism,focusing on the cognitive neural mechanism of speech communication,and unveiling the spatiotemporal evidence of language user in brain speech processing.With the experimental equipment and technology,experimental pragmatics has ushered in the era of neuropragmatic research.This study will deepen the understanding of experimental pragmatics and neuropragmatics,and contribute to the further development of experimental research in pragmatics.
